The Executive Chef
Mike began his professional cooking career in Atlanta, GA in 2001 under the guidance of several classically trained European chefs and ACF competition winning teams. His ability to thrive under pressure and his attention to detail allowed him to quickly gain recognition in kitchens full of young aspiring cooks. Opportunity came quickly and Mike made the move to the mountains of North Carolina to work at several prestigious country clubs including Highlands Country Club and The Jupiter Island Club. After seeing a variety of cooking styles and learning various techniques, Mike attended culinary school at AB Tech in Asheville, NC where he has also served as an adjunct instructor.
With over 15 years of fine-dining experience, he came to The Farm to build The Farm Kitchen’s culinary program. Chef Mike has used the same intensity and attention to detail, to quickly build our catering operation from the ground up.

Our Farm Kitchen strives to be the very best. We specialize in farm-to-table cuisine and will work with you to create a customized menu that will be uniquely yours.
We only use the freshest ingredients, starting with our own organic garden. We work with local farmers to source produce, cheese, meat and fish not grown here on the property. Our Farm Kitchen team will assist you with important details, offering creative and practical solutions at each stage of the planning process. Our menus reflect a sensitivity for cuisines, budgets, and food restrictions.

Styles range from from affable family style, to hardy buffets, to indulgent grazing tables, to to elegantly plated dinners. Our Bar Packages
There are enough details to fuss over with events – let us handle the details for your bar. Our house package features a carefully curated list of local craft beers and ciders (They don’t call Asheville “Beer City” for nothing!) as well as delicious wines. We also have options for signature cocktails and a full bar.

We loved everything about our wedding! We received countless comments from friends and family about how wonderful the food was. Numerous people said it was the best wedding food they had ever had! My son, who is a “foodie” and harsh critic, agreed! From the appetizers to the lemon tarts, everything was perfect! The grilled peach arugula salad was my personal favorite 😊 but everything was delicious! Thank you so much for helping to make the day a special one for our daughter.
Chef Mike shared clever tips and tricks including knife skills and enticing presentation ideas. But the best part was savoring the phenomenal meal!
It was a tremendous experience. The food and learning experience was second to none that I have been a part of. Wow, what a cabin! Michael and Daniel, the chefs, were beyond informative and welcoming. WOW what a couple of days! Thank you Myron and Beverly, the ride in the '55 will not be forgotten!

Parker Cottage was awesome, the culinary experience was awesome, the food was delicious & the chef & sous chef could not have been nicer, the owner's are so nice & made us feel like family or old friends. We have already told other people about The Farm & we will definitely return. I can't recommend it highly enough!
Our Organic Garden
The Farm has an expanding organic garden and greenhouse that allow us to offer fresh, seasonal, farm-to-table creations to our wedding and event clients, Culinary Escape participants, wine dinner guests and cooking class students alike.
When you’re here, stop by and visit the garden. Chances are you’ll see our gardener harvesting herbs, vegetables and edible flowers for that day’s menu, ensuring fresh-picked flavor for an authentic farm-to-table dining experience.
